Discipline Engineer (Structures) Aberdeen
We are currently looking for a Discipline Engineer (Structures), within our Subsea Projects in Westhill, reporting to an Engineering Manager.

As our new Discipline Engineer (Structures) you will:

Provide technical support to a wide range of subsea installation projects.

Design and calculations of steel structures in accordance with industry standards, including:

Riser ancillaries (Riser hang off systems, bend stiffener connectors, riser clamps mid water arches, tether systems etc);

Permanent subsea structures (Riser clamps, gravity bases etc);

Sea fastening of installation equipment;

Assessment of vessel's structural integrity;

Temporary installation aids.

Design review and assurance of structural work subcontracted by TechnipFMC.

Contribute to the consolidation of engineering experience in the discipline.

Interface with external bodies as required, e.g. design houses, clients or certifying authorities.

Liaise with the relevant stakeholder's, e.g. project management, pipeline design, flexible design, dynamic analysis teams

You are meant for this job if you have:
Engineering Degree in Structural, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or Naval Architecture (BEng or BSc with honors, MEng, MSc or equivalent).

Genuine interest in design engineering and solving technically challenging problems.

Sound understanding of basic engineering principles.

Strong analytical skills.

Enthusiasm to learn about subsea engineering.

The ability to organise and prioritise own work.
