Role description and what were looking for Reporting into the Data & Analytics Manager, you will contribute to the innovation and improvements in our credit risk decision making, improving our credit risk capabilities, leading them to become a key contributor in our overall competitive advantage. We are looking for a self-motivated and highly analytical individual who will help develop and grow our current risk processes which will support the growth plans of the business whilst protecting against credit risk and increase customer satisfaction.

Principal Accountabilities: Review analysis and MI generated within credit and use to ascertain key insights and drive business change to deliver financial gains for Npower and / or improved customer experience.

Develop insights and, if appropriate, ongoing MI to support the evaluation of credit risk key drivers, performance and strategies

Act as an internal consultant within Npower to understand requirements, develop appropriate analysis and / or enduring MI and present key findings.

Evaluate the performance of credit strategies incl. credit management campaigns, policy rules, cut offs and scorecards

Monitor the operational drivers of credit risk performance

Work with suppliers and colleagues to define requirements, procure, build, test and implement new credit risk capabilities.

Design and develop appropriate data / data mart structures to support credit risk management strategies, pilots and / or MI.

Support or lead development of infrastructure to productionise MI generated within the team incl. scheduling, quality assessment, automated distribution.

You will need to demonstrate: A good degree in Maths or Statistics is essential.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills, gained within Credit, Marketing or Customer Services.

Proven technical programming skills, exposure to SAS would be an advantage

Credit risk regulation, governance and compliance would be beneficia

Preferably experienced in the domestic energy, financial services or telecommunications sectors.

Commercial awareness and / or financial qualification would be advantageous.

Strong stakeholder management

Ability to communicate complex analytical information to variety of non-technical users.
