Field Technical Advisor - Aero Services
The person in this role provides technical support and maintenance to Pro Energy customers for sustained high performance of gas turbine power generation assets. Provide advice to plant operations and maintenance personnel to enhance their development in the industry. Provide advisory services for the development of gas turbine maintenance practices throughout PES customer base.
Essential Job Functions
  • Provide field services in a professional manner at all times.
  • Take a leading role in the following areas associated with the successful operations and Electrical maintenance of gas turbine generators:
    • Manage or assist in the repair, installation, inspection and maintenance of customer or PES owned Aeroderivative Gas Turbines Instrument & Controls.
    • Assist other Technicians (Mechanical, piping, etc) as needed to complete repairs.
    • Manage costs associated with Field Service projects to budgetary goals and on time completion.
  • One or more of the following levels of experience with instrumentation & controls maintenance focus:
    • Minimum of ten years experience with turbo machinery.
    • Minimum of five years experience with industrial gas turbine generators.
    • Minimum of three years I&C experience with GE, Siemens-Westinghouse, Pratt & Whitney or Rolls-Royce industrial gas turbine generating packages.
    • Experience with GE, Bailey, ABB or Woodward DCS.
    • Experience with Fluke Digital Multimeters, Altek Process testers, Megohmeters.
    • Ability to interpret one-line diagrams for troubleshooting and tests.
    • Ability to troubleshoot Hardware, Software and Networks.
  • A BS in engineering preferred or offset by significant experience and achievements.
  • A good command of English, both written and oral, is required to read technical materials and for discussions with gas turbine original equipment manufacturers and vendors.
  • Must have the ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to climb ladders.
  • Must have Passport and be able to travel internationally.
  • Must have legal authority to permanently work in the U.S.
