Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for Project Engineers based in our Clients Offices in Westhills, Aberdeen with experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.
Ensure good communication between disciplines.
Maintain effective dialogue with other project engineers, Delivery Team leader, Engineering manager.Process Ownership:
Clients primary focal point for allocated projects from kick off to close out.
Responsible for the safe delivery of projects to budget and schedule.Subject Matter Expertise:
Manage project changes effectively.
Ensure an effective risk management process is adopted.General:
Provide Health, Safety and Environment HSE leadership within sphere of influence Agree personal career development plan with Head of Project Management.
Progress of training and development in line with the Competence Assurance Management System.
Customer satisfaction.
Delivery of projects to budget and schedule.
HSE Leadership.
Delivery team leader, Engineering , Construction, Commercial and Planning.
Client, Regulatory bodies, Other external stakeholders as appropriate to the project in hand.

Skills / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
HND / HNC in relevant Engineering discipline.Minimum Experience:
Experience in the management of multi-disciplined oil and gas projects or other relevant industries.Role-Specific Skills: Provide strong leadership in promoting, demonstrating and being a role model for company core values and ethics policy and the leadership framework.People:
Core Values and Behaviours:
Practiced in project control mechanisms and with commercial and technical risk assessments.
Competent in forecast planning for people resources.
Competent in people interviewing, selection, communication and management including performance management.
Competent in implementation and execution of standards and processes to effect delivery of project.
Monitors compliance with standards and processes to assure delivery.
Subject Matter Expertise:
Competent in knowledge of regulatory framework and associated legislation.
Competent in own particular area of expertise to provide support to the business.
Demonstrate continual professional development.
Can demonstrate competency equivalent to APM Level C.
Strong abilities in motivation of engineering teams, customer relationships, and commercial awareness.
Strong job focus.
Strong communications skills.
