Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Integrity Engineer in our office based in the centre of Glasgow with occasional site/offshore visits.

The main purpose of this role will be to provide integrity engineering services to the Wood Client base for pipelines and plant. The position will be based within the Glasgow Integrity Operations Team who operate and manage the integrity of onshore/offshore pipeline systems, additionally varied technical consultancy work will be required on an ad-hoc basis in support of other regional and global Wood offices.

Typical workscopes included within the remit of the Senior Pipeline Integrity Engineer are:
  • Assessing the results of survey, inspection, testing and monitoring activities and making recommendations to ensure continuing fitness for service
  • Undertaking Risk Based Inspection Assessments
  • Undertaking Fitness for Service assessments
  • Providing technical assessment and interpretation of corrosion/inspection monitoring data
  • Developing asset integrity management documentation
  • Developing written schemes of examination
  • Management of small integrity workscopes

Skills / Qualifications
Technical/Business Skills
  • Writing technical reports and specifications
  • Experience of integrity management and written schemes
  • Competent User of Microsoft Office (essential) and fitness for service assessment software/integrity management software (desirable)
  • Good presentation skills and report writing skills
  • Competence in both technical and business skills
  • Understanding of pipeline systems, fluid mechanics and stress analysis (desirable)
  • Knowledge of UK Pipeline Regulations /Pressure System Regulations (desirable)
Interpersonal Skills
  • Good communicator both written and verbal (fluent in English)
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to those in a wide range of organisation positions
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and committed to delivering first class integrity engineering services
  • Proactively initiates continuous improvements to processes and procedures
  • Self motivated and actively engaged in personal and professional development
  • Ensures the effective application of innovative engineering applications and specialist technologies
  • Correctly adheres to the Company Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies
Business and Industry Experience
  • Engineer with previous experience within an industrial environment
Educational Attainments
  • Degree in Engineering (Essential)
  • Chartered Engineer /Associate Member of recognised Engineering body (expected to progress to full chartership)
