Commissioning Manager.

JD Ross are representing a leading utility company with particular focus on the design, build and operation of District Heating and Cooling networks and due to company growth are looking to bring in a new commissioning manager. 

The company offers leading "end to end" solutions in heat networks for residential and commercial properties working closely with both private and public services. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of sustainable energy for the future with the opportunity for organic progression. 

Summary:

  • Responsible for defining and writing the commissioning procedure including: Testing, Inspections, and Commissioning before hand over to operations.
  • Permit handover of energy centres and district heating networks to SSE
  • Leading on site commissioning activities.
  • Review/witness Internal or external installations engaging with stakeholder where necessary (dependent on in-house or external EPC).
  • Overseeing and ensuring the successful completion of construction and implementation phase with necessary documentation e.g. (HSE).
  • Assist in the optimizing of performance/ identify areas of performance.
  • Comfortable in challenging situations including articulating why an asset should be/ should not be adopted. 
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in commissioning large operational energy projects, preferably in district heating.
  • Experience in the design and operation of district heating systems, CHP, boilers, energy centres etc.
  • Experience liaising with stakeholders.Competence in IT software (Microsoft Excel, Word etc).
  • Knowledge of CIBSE, Electrical and UK regulatory standards.
