The Role: Customer Segmentation and Product Advisor





Purpose
The position will be responsible for driving customer segmentation and product strategy, developing ideas around how best to reach our customers with relevant and personalized messages through the right channels and at the right times, testing efficacy of different products and messages, and optimizing the customer journey for growing and retaining the customer base of the B2C retail business.

Essential Job Functions
  • Contribute to the company's competitiveness and profitability by leading projects to optimize our customer retention and acquisition.
  • Contribute to national marketing plan to drive overall marketing demand generation, campaign management, customer/channel acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Set direction for customer segmentation, targeted customer acquisition strategy, online and offline marketing campaigns, and messages/offers using an iterative, data-driven approach across markets and sales channels.
  • Execute, and assist in developing, Think Energy brand strategy and positioning to drive it to the next level. Ensure brand awareness in targeted markets, including development of strong positioning, advertising, marketing, PR, and media plans.
  • Collaborate with customer care team to lead the company's customer relationship efforts, and instill the voice of the customer down through the organization.
  • Refine the digital strategy across multiple digital channels for Think Energy.
  • Develop affinity marketing channels through A/B testing and involvement in the Think Energy Growth Team.


Requirements
  • Proven strong creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Solid grasp of statistics
  • Strong analytical skills: you can mine data for insights and identify unusual patterns in performance.
  • Great customer instincts that can be validated with data.
  • Solid technical skills: power user of Excel, SQL.
  • Basic coding skills: eg. Python, R preferred.
  • Experience with at least one marketing automation platform.
  • Comfortable designing, creating, and managing A/B tests.
  • Sense of ownership over the problems you tackle.
  • Naturally curious and eager to push your development.


Essential Physical Abilities
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.
  • Could involve some lifting.


Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communication, Project Management or related field.
  • 7-10 years experience in B2C. Professional background in Marketing, Communications or similar discipline highly preferred.
  • Bonus: Experience in a start-up, high-pressure environment, delivering tangible results through optimizing retention and acquisition strategy.
