This is an opportunity to contribute to the current and future business growth of a market leading Process Solutions Company. Working within our multi-discipline department (process, control and instrumentation, mechanical and design engineering), utilising your technical knowledge and professional experience you will play a critical role in the applications for Packages and offshore projects. Acting under the guidance of the of the Mechanical Engineering Manager, the role requires the ability to analyse client's requirements and technical specifications, provide technical solutions, develop calculations, design and sketches of structures and piping lines within the package, supporting documentation for proposals, presentations and reports to managers and customers on technical subjects. Experience or expertise in Mechanical Engineering in the field of stress analysis is required, while previous exposure to pressure vessels, offshore structures, pipework, Fluid Systems such as separation and mixing processes, water treatment and sand handling packages is desirable for this position. An exceptional appreciation of the commercial implications of engineering decision making, attention to detail, ability to work effectively with other team members, a keen focus on delivery and the ability to turn client-driven requirements into profitable solutions are all critical to success in this role. You should be keen to take on fresh challenges, develop your technical and interpersonal skills as well as expand your knowledge and experience through a variety of exciting projects.


• Produce and check Mechanical engineering documentation & deliverables for packaged modules & standalone structures and pipework
• Ensure all deliverables are technically in accordance with client requirements
• Ensure timely and thorough review of client specifications, identify missing information and communication of findings
• Participate in internal design review meetings being aware of commercial implications
• Ensure that internal checking and approvals procedures are adhered to
• Ensure that document numbering and revision control procedure is conformed to
• Preparation and checking of Technical Requisition documents for sub-vended engineering scope
• Assist in the preparation of Technical Requisitions for any 3rd party design review or verification
• Reviewing and recommending Subcontract/Sub-vendor quotes
• Review and respond to client comments
• Report any design changes which may have a cost or schedule impact to the relevant project personnel
• Attend and participate in client meetings always ensuring customer care is at the foremost position
• Contribute to the investigation, resolution and documentation of Engineering Queries in a timely and technically acceptable fashion
• Contribute to induction training
• Be fully aware of personal workload, prioritise and organise to ensure deadlines are achieved
• Ensure a high standard of professionalism is maintained and that customer care is foremost
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the work area and department
• Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and HSE Company policy
• Contribute to the development of systems and improvement in working practices and processes
• Be fully familiar and conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times
• Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager
• Travel required as dictated by project needs






• HNC /HND in Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent

• Tertiary education in an Engineering discipline


• Experience in a similar position

• Working knowledge of Oil and Gas Process Technology

• Experience in a Notified Body

Skills, training or special knowledge

• Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and AutoDesk Suite)

• Proficient in pressure vessels, pipework and structural analysis calculation software (Caesar II and SAFI preferably).

• Working knowledge of pressure containment codes (ASTM, PED, PD5500, ASME and EN) and their applications.

• Participating meetings

• Understanding of engineering documents, P&IDs and drawings

• Have an understanding of common place industry materials and their application

• Have an understanding of NACE

• Have an understanding of NORSOK standards

• Have working knowledge of Finglow, software

• Working knowledge of pressure vessels design.
