Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Instrument Maintenance Engineer to support our client in Day to Day operations and TAR preparation.

Substantial experience as a Maintenance Engineer with an Oil or Petro-Chemical background.

Experience profile will comprise the all of the following skills:
  • Selection and use of Maintenance Strategies including an understanding of Reliability Modelling, RCM, FMEA and criticality techniques in general
  • Evidence of an expertise such as maintaining Rotating Machines, Instruments, or Electrical equipment
  • Understanding of CBM
  • Able to understand and implement complex plans and resourced work schedules
  • Able to innovate; utilise tools, techniques, processes or equipment which are successfully used in other contracts which can be successfully applied to maintenanceAcceptable: -Substantial experience as a Maintenance Engineer or Reliability Engineer in a relevant process industry with the majority of the above experience elements. In particular experience of application of maintenance tools and techniques. Oil and gas industry experience is desirableA range of academic qualifications is acceptable particularly when they are combined with longer and relevant work experience. Weighting should be given to an individuals actual experience and personnel qualities over their academic achievement, but there must be evidence of continued personal development by the individual

  • Prepare estimates and assist in the review of proposed schedules
  • Ensure that results of any development work are fully utilised in discipline activities
  • Participate as necessary in discussions with Client and visit jobsites when necessary
  • Assist the Lead when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties.
  • Provide technical assistance to other disciplines as required
  • Shall take into account all relevant procedures, guidance etc. relating to the work, which will ensure compliance with the Safety Management System
  • Attend relevant Safety, Health and Environmental awareness training provided by the company which will help meet the above requirements
  • Participate as necessary in discussions with Clients and visit job sites as required
  • Assist the Lead Discipline Engineer when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties
