Would you like to design some of the biggest offshore wind farms in the world together with highly professional colleagues?
Join us and become Grid Connection Manager in Electrical System Analysis in Taiwan where you'll be responsible for handling the grid connection of our offshore wind farms.
As Grid Connection Manager, your primary task is to manage the grid connection application processes, including reviewing the system impact study of the wind farm, preparing electrical system design reports, and verifying grid code compliance. Moreover, you'll participate in relevant project meetings and cooperate with other team members on shared issues. You'll also keep track of risks and problems and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
In Taiwan, our Group develops and builds 1.8GW of offshore wind projects as well as storage solutions in Changhua, and it co-owns Taiwan's first offshore wind project, Formosa 1.
Your key tasks will be to
  • design the overall electrical power transmission system from the onshore substation to the wind turbines together with our design team in Europe
  • ensure the electrical design is compliant with the Taiwanese electrical grid code and requirements
  • ensure that the technical requirements are transferred to the design team in Denmark
  • follow grid developments with regard to capacity and support other projects and business development in the Asia-Pacific region.
Additionally, you'll handle other aspects in connection with the projects, e.g. performing optimization and cost benefit analyses, supporting decision processes, planning work to meet critical milestones, supporting procurement, and, not least, documenting the technical solutions and analyses.
Your competences include that you
  • have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or preferably a master's degree in electrical engineering
  • have a good understanding of the simulation of electrical systems and simulation tools like PowerFactory and PSS/E
  • have a clear understanding of the electrical grid codes and connection processes of offshore wind farms, especially in Taiwan; preferably, you have experience in communicating with TSOs
  • have a proactive and systematic approach to your work tasks
  • speak and write English and Mandarin fluently
thrive in an international environment and are able to create good relationships with your stakeholders.

It's essential that you're eligible to work in Taiwan.
You'll be based at our office in Taipei City, Taiwan. However, you should expect some traveling in relation to your work, both domestically (for example to Changhua) and potentially to other parts of the Asia-Pacific region and to our offices in Europe.
