The first steps of your career with Weatherford will focus on field operations and understanding Drilling Services core functions which are logging whilst drilling, petrophysics, directional drilling, well planning and engineering. The role will require you to be available to travel/ work offshore and will give you the critical experience required to begin your career. All training and certification will be provided. You will also have the chance to work in our Aberdeen base where you will understand the significant repair, maintenance and managerial operations and challenges of our business.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Physical Sciences or Geology.
  • A strong work ethic is a must and a determined mindset with leadership qualities.
  • The ability to isolate and solve complex problems on the job site.
  • Comfortable taking the initiative and working with new people.  
  • Effective written, numerical, oral skills and IT skills.
  • Availability to travel and work in an offshore environment.
  • Must be able to work in accordance with any standard operating procedures and to all health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Understanding of the process of drilling a well and the associated challenges.
  • Further understanding of logging whilst drilling/ petrophysics/ drilling engineering is advantageous.
