Join NOV Pipex as a Maintenance Technician and establish yourself as key member of our maintenance team. Successful candidates will have experience in servicing and maintenance of factory/plant machinery and equipment. Your role is to support the Maintenance Engineer in managing planned preventative maintenance, third party contracts and hosting maintenance visits.

You will be able to represent FGS Pipex® in a manner that is always presentable to any inspection/client visit.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To assist the Maintenance Engineer in maintaining all major plant to ensure it meets all Health & Safety requirements.

• To keep all equipment (site and factory) regularly serviced with all documentation correctly filed and easily retrievable.

• Identify and mitigate risk through assessment and controls (RAMS).

• To work safely and follow safe systems of work.

• Report to Director level any issues that arise that may have an effect on Health & Safety regarding machinery, plant and tools.

• To ensure all calibration equipment is in date and all records maintained.

• To ensure all statuary inspection records and equipment are maintained and kept up to date.

• To contribute to the management all fittings and fixtures throughout the Plymouth facility.

• Produce log/records of any service or repairs and file according to the companies BMS.

• Reduce annual service costs through PPM and supplier partnerships.

• As a service department you must ensure good working relationship with all other departments.

• Ensure constant BMS compliance

Qualifications:

IOSH managing safety.

PAT test qualification.

Electrical / Mechanical experience to a recognised qualification, such as electrical installations (17th edition)

Experience:

Had experience in a similar role.

Hold a good knowledge of plant and machinery servicing and repair.

Skills, training or special knowledge
  • Risk Assessor qualified, able to set up safe system of work.
  • Ability to make good decisions as and when required.
  • Metal Welding.
  • Fork Lift.
