Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Piping Designer to be based at our client in Dubai for 3-6 months assignment.

The Successful candidate should be able to perform the below duties and responsibilities;
  • Generates design and detail drawings including General Arrangements, Isometrics and Pipe Support Details utilizing 3D modelling software
  • Good knowledge of 2D drafting
  • Coordinates designs with other disciplines
  • Review drawings supplied by vendors
  • Display a working knowledge of industry standard drafting practices, good mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of engineering

Skills / Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years experience in piping drafting and design
  • Proficient in PDMS/E3D software and AutoCAD software
  • Proficient in Navisworks 3D model software for design review
  • Strong knowledge of piping design standards, specifications, guides and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of pipe support design
  • Process, industrial, power generation experience is preferred
  • Associated Degree or 2 year College coursework preferred
  • Working knowledge of ASME B31.3 code
  • MS office skills required (Word, Excel)
  • Bachelor's Degree
