With broad direction, responsible for managing all on site functions in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company on medium-sized projects (typically 250,000 to 2 million construction man hours or building projects of $15 to $75 million). Responsibilities may include project setup and subcontracting strategy, shop drawing review and processing, contract changes, owner/architect/engineer daily relations, subcontractor relations, and all required Owner and in-house reporting. Possesses a working knowledge of the respective industry. Supervises all personnel at the site, through subordinate leaders. On EPC projects, reports to the Project Manager - EPC. May servce as the proposal manager of medium-sized construction projects or handle bid packages on larger projects. Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in engineering or related field and 8-12 years of related experience.


With general autonomy, responsible and accountable for overall construction execution at the site ( Up to 500K MH's or TIC of <$150MM) including safety, quality, HR and industrial relations, material management, client interface, labor productivity, cost and schedule.
  • Safety Leadership which includes daily personal engagement focused on zero harm culture and philosophy
  • Contracts compliance to ensure both the client and KBR meets its obligations including timely and effectively managing contract changes.
  • Planning leadership for daily, weekly and overall project planning from project initiation to completion and turnover.
  • Ensure leadership and supervision of the field management and support departments team are focused on achieving safety, quality, cost and schedule goals.
  • Leadership aimed at achieving high craft productivity and overall cost management.
  • Leadership to achieve an effective onsite craft and supervisor training and mentoring program.
  • Project setup and subcontracting strategy.
  • Liaison with project stakeholders, preparation of executive reports, initiation of progress reporting systems and interfacing with client representatives
  • Provides constructability to engineering.
  • Observes site conditions in order to call for any necessary design changes.
  • Maintains careful notes of all disputes arising out of the interpretation of the contract so that, if necessary, the form of contract and specification can be amended for similar future works.
  • Coordinate and interface with others as required to execute the construction plan and assure that labor, equipment and materials are available to support the construction effort.
  • Advise management of developments that could affect project profit, schedule, cost, client relations and interdepartmental relations.
