Would you like to take up the challenge and become part of a team with the highest regard for safety standards and performance excellence on our offshore wind farms on the East coast?
Join us and become Authorised Wind Turbine Technician in Offshore as part of our expanding team in the Grimsby and Brightlingsea areas where, together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our wind turbines and other offshore assets, positively contributing to our safety culture, and working with our engineering specialists to enhance our wind farm performance.
Offshore has built more offshore wind farms than any other developer in the world, and we have only just begun. By 2020, we'll expand our offshore wind capacity to 7.45GW, and we'll have offshore wind farms across Europe, in Denmark, Germany, the UK and the Netherlands.
Your key tasks will be to
  • work in a team with the highest regard for safety, and drive a positive safety culture with your actions
  • perform servicing, troubleshooting and repair of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components in specified wind turbine types
  • perform maintenance on other offshore assets, for example foundation structures
  • carry out high-voltage switching, isolating and earthing as an authorised person
  • contribute to planning and operational excellence.
Your competences include that you
  • ideally, have experience across SWT G4, D6 or D7 platforms.
  • preferably have experience with offshore wind turbine technology
  • are authorised under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules as Service Technician or above
  • have a positive, proactive and systematic approach to your work tasks
  • are an experienced engineer or technician with a strong, formal electrical or mechanical engineering background.
Furthermore, you have completed a recognised apprenticeship with supporting qualifications.
