ENGIE are recruiting for a HR Apprentice to be based at Wakefield One and Altofts Road, Normanton, West Yorkshire, WF6 2XA.

This is an apprenticeship for 2 years, working 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm and on offer will be a salary of £12,000 per annum. This role will report into the Supervisor.

You will provide a Human Resources administrative support to the business and the team and to assist where necessary in all administrative tasks. To be the first point of contact for the HR department within the contract office. To work towards a relevant apprenticeship qualification.

The main duties and responsibilities are:
  • Follow up all probation and induction matters
  • Run monthly reports on fixed term contract end dates and open sickness absences and chase appropriate Managers
  • Set up and maintain the employee files
  • To maintain data integrity of SAP
  • Produce system reports on a range of HR data
  • Ensure sickness is logged and the system is maintained and updated at all times
  • Ensure return to work forms are completed by the Line Managers of employees absence from work
  • Ensuring the absence triggers are utilised and the relevant action is taken
  • Assist the HR Team as required, particularly with ad hoc HR projects
  • Produce letters for meetings
  • Take notes at various meetings including investigations, disciplinary hearings and sickness meetings
  • Assist where necessary with employee queries
  • Any other reasonable management request
