The Opportunity

 

 

Senior Data Analyst, Hinkley Point C, Somerset, Competitive Salary & Benefits

 

We are offering an exciting opportunity for you to combine your skills and talents to carve out an important role in providing intelligent data and information that will improve the performance of our people and ensure safe, quality and responsible delivery of one of UK’s largest projects.

 

As a Senior Data Analyst, your contribution to the project will help senior leaders to make informed decisions, allocate resources to the right places, and define long term strategies in the management of health, safety, environment and quality.     

 

Your day to day duties will include:

  • Convert raw data into meaningful occupational health, safety, environment and quality reports
  • Research and provide advice about electronic tools and technologies that improve efficiency and effectiveness in business reporting
  • Develop timely project based health, safety and quality risk profiles to direct risk based inspections and audits
  • Provide a consistent set of metrics to both measure past performance and assist with business planning
  • Develop a means to identify trends and early warning of possible health, safety, environmental and quality related issues
  • Liaise with HPC QHSE teams to review appropriateness of remedial actions in response to observations, findings from inspections and audits     
  • Liaise with HPC Communications team to regularly publish interesting facts and information about Quality, Health, Safety and Environment topics

 

The Person

 

 

We are looking for someone who is organised, self-motivated with a positive attitude and able to work under their own initiative.  You'll need drive, a sense of ownership and a “can do” attitude.  You will be trained as to why nuclear is special and be required to demonstrate the highest standards of nuclear professionalism and safety.

The Skills

 

 

IT or business graduate with demonstrated capability to develop business planning skills.

3 yrs + experience in working with teams implementing IT applications and solutions.

 

You will need to:

  • Be adaptable and have a willingness to learn about working in a large, complex project environment.
  • Have experience of working in a technical or regulated environment.
  • Build effective networks and relationships.
  • Be able to work on several fronts concurrently.
  • Demonstrate an analytical approach with problem solving capability.
  • Be able to work and act autonomously
