Estimate Manager - Renewable Heat Insulation industry in Edinburgh.

The company are stable, yet forward-looking organisation who are leaders in their field.

Right now, they are going through a period of growth, and are looking to bring on employees who are keen to ensure that they move in the direction of the company's growth plans.

You'll be working within the Ratho office and travelling to sites across the UK. You will report into the to the Commercial and Portfolio Manager, this role requires the ability to develop close working relationships with colleagues across many departments.

The main division you will be involved in will be Energy Solutions. It is an established business formed to address the growing market for low-carbon and energy efficiency products and services.

Energy Solutions business currently deliver £30m of energy efficiency measures across the UK and with ambitious growth targets.

Your Role within the Energy Solutions business is primarily involved in installing External Wall Insulation systems to properties throughout the UK. You will be responsible for the pre-contract commercial management and administration of contracts to ensure successful delivery of our Energy related projects.

You'll support the delivery of departmental KPIs and objectives, such as savings in the total cost of ownership, value engineering and safety performance. Being the lead in the tendering process, you'll have the drive and tenacity to achieve the best value for money solution for our clients and be responsible for any post-contract activities.

Your Skills and Experience

Demonstrable pre-contract experience of preparing tender documents, tendering and contract negotiation is required, as is a post-contract experience of valuation, cost reporting and final accounting. A background in the External Wall Insulation industry and related Energy measures / ECO knowledge would be massively beneficial as would detailed knowledge of the supply chain with respect to the delivery of these measures.

Effective organisation and planning skills are crucial, as is having an enthusiastic and driven but flexible approach to work. You'll be capable of building and managing strong relationships with various stakeholders with the credibility and ability to challenge and influence them when required. As you will be travelling to different sites, a full driving licence is essential.

The company is based in the Rural West Edinburgh area of Edinburgh. Ratho is located close to both the M8 and the M9 motorways. The A8 and A71 run parallel to the north and the south of the village. These are two of the major roads running into Edinburgh. There is a network of paths around Ratho and the surrounding area, and you can also walk or cycle along the canal towpath.
