Job Description

Purpose: Technical expediting for manufacturing and testing for all component and part sales

Key Responsibilities: (Key Tasks)

•Safety is highest priority for all Component and Sales component activities. Promote and maintain safe systems of work to ensure all safety risks are as low as reasonably practicable.
•Ensure all components are to correct quality standards of manufacture & testing
•Ensure on-time delivery to support Forum customer requirements
•Identify appropriate component and sub-assembly stock holding for identified component and spare parts
•Embrace LEAN principles to ensure the quality, cost and lead time.
•Use LEAN tools to eliminate waste from manufacture process.
•Perform limited troubleshooting of assemblies.
•Perform testing of assemblies and sub-components
•Use Navision to track and report on manufacture status
•Ensures assembly/sub-assembly build times are met to maintain department efficiency target of 100% and customer demand dates
•Complete all necessary documentation according to the requirements, (including timesheets, ECN, NCR ...etc.)
•Carry out job tasks safely using good working practices.
•Ensure good housekeeping.
•Support any technical or non-technical activities to ensure delivery of equipment
•Other duties as assigned.

Accountabilities: (Deliverables)

•Contribute towards achieving group KPI and achieve personal KPI's
•Complete all necessary documentation according to the requirements.
•Perform limited troubleshooting and testing of assemblies.
•Perform limited computer controlled operations.
•Ensures assembly/sub assembly build times are met for major project schedule.

Directly Supervises:

•Component & Test Coordinator(s)



Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

•HNC or equivalent NVQ in an Engineering or Manufacturing discipline (Desirable)

Technical Competencies:

•Understanding of application of Subsea components
•MRP experience essential

Key Skills:

•Competent MRP user
•Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel)
•Advanced Excel skills are desirable
•Good communication and coordination skills
•Positive attitude towards all aspects of work
•Proactive approach to delivering target
•Focused on process improvement

Experience:

•Worked in manufacturing and/or testing environment delivering complex components for a minimum of 1 year
•Involved with LEAN principles in a manufacture and/or testing environment

QHSE Competencies:

•Maintain behaviour in compliance with Forum HSE requirements
•Maintain responsibility and accountability through personal commitment and behaviour
•Report any unsafe or environmentally unsound acts and conditions to their immediate Supervisor such that remedial action can be taken to manage the risk
