Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Instrument Designer to join our team in Baku. We are looking for candidates with the drive and commitment to make a genuine difference to our performance to ensure that the company continues to differentiate itself from competitors by delivering quality projects to our client's requirements.
  • Coaching and mentoring as delegated.
  • Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific Procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Actively progress towards Engineering Technician (IET).
  • Participate in audits and incident investigations as required.
  • Provide discipline support to the business.
  • Ensure self awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology
  • developments.
  • Provide discipline input to scope definition and execution.
  • Executing assigned personal objectives
  • Agree personal career development plan with Head of E&I Design (E&I Design Focal Point).
  • Progress of training and development in line with plan.
  • Competency profile attainment against plan
  • Effective delivery of assigned work scopes in accordance with Engineering & Design Process and Procedures.
  • Effective implementation of assigned IMPACT actions

Skills / Qualifications
  • As delegated by Lead Engineer/Discipline Focal Point in accordance with Competency Assessment
Minimum Qualifications:
  • HNC/HND Qualification
  • Equivalent with relevant considerable experience

Minimum Experience:
  • Demonstrable balance of industrial experience at relevant level and position.
Job-Specific Skills:
  • Intellectually capable, can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a practical context
  • Professional demeanor, interpersonal skills
  • Able to demonstrate team working skills
  • Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude
