Our Information Systems Application Development group is currently recruiting for a User Experience Designer to create design solutions for two Agile development teams. The ideal candidate should be able to understand our business requirements and any technical limitations, as well as be responsible for understanding our end users and translating their needs into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes. The UX designer will be expected to design the overall functionality of the product, and to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user testing.

Other responsibilities:
  • Translate business requirements into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Facilitate the client's product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products.
  • Design and deliver wireframes and mockups optimized for a range of devices and interfaces.
  • Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
  • Keep informed of latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.
  • Learn, evaluate and recommend new tools and methods to support the work of the User Experience Design Team.
  • Contribute to creating and updating a Style Guide to be used across all development teams.


  • One to three years of UX design experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Visual Design, Psychology, Communications, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and an understanding of responsive design.
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, prototyping, heuristic analysis, and usability concerns.
  • Expertise in standard UX software such as Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Adobe XD, or others are a must. HTML and CSS skills are a plus.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
  • Ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
  • Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
