Summary:

Demonstrates ability to resolve problems of a difficult nature and successfully work with customers and support groups to expedite problem resolution. Adjust to a transforming environment, communicate effectively and adapt to urgent issues.

Core Duties:

§ Deliver service and support to end-users.

§ Interact with customers to provide and process information in response to automation issues, inquires, concerns, and requests.

§ Accurately process and record transactions using designated tracking software.

§ Follow standard processes and procedures.

§ Identify and escalate priority issues per customer specifications;

§ Maintains historical records by documenting hardware and software changes and revisions.

§ 24/7 on-call rotation.

§ Possesses, acquires, and maintains the technical/professional expertise required to do the job effectively and to create effective customer solutions. Technical/professional expertise is demonstrated through problem solving and applying technical knowledge.

§ Maintains stable performance under pressure or opposition (such as time pressure or job ambiguity); handling stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and to the organization.

§ Makes customers and their needs a primary focus of one's actions; developing and sustaining productive customer relationships.

§ Maximizes use of terminal automation software by training and answering customers and other end users.

§ Problem Solving, Presenting Technical Information, Process Improvement, Software Maintenance and Software Testing.

§ Understand and coordinate the customer, carrier, product setup in the automation systems.

§ Technical experience of communication between load rack hardware and Terminal automation system.

§ Mentors technical services staff.
  • Travel up to 50% (Average 30%, but driven by project schedule /workload)


Job Requirements:
  • Technical or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering or 10+ years of automation/field/operator experience.
  • 10yrs work experience as field support or technical support
  • Intricate knowledge and familiarity with Asphalt, Crude oil, Refined products and NGL load rack or batching operations.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or Oracle programming
  • Proficient in G3 and TMS5 TAS system configuration and support for field applications
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of relevant software computer applications and equipment
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices;
  • Effective listening skills
  • Willingness to work with others
  • Multi-tasking capabilities
  • Account data setups
  • Product data setup
  • Testing/Evaluation of G3/TMS5 TAS systems and data flow to hosted systems
  • Operational Efficiency
  • Proficient in asphalt terminal operations, including emulsion blending systems
  • Truck Rack troubleshooter - loading/unloading
  • Resolve Inventory issues
  • Carrier issues
  • Proficiency in solenoid and control valve tuning
  • Transaction issues
  • Facility reconciliation
  • Provide start up and commissioning support
