What would you be doing?

Successfully deliver and execute jobs such as preparation, installation, repair and maintenance of TechnipFMC equipment, or other brands, under field conditions and in an international on & offshore environment. Supporting the Drilling and Completion segment but not limited to, with extended support to the Pressure Control and or Production systems segments.

To successfully execute each job, Field Service Technicians focus is placed on, but not limited to:

Planning and making sure all operations are well prepared in advance for the job starts, applying a proactive approach and thinking.

Maintain communication to a high level and on a daily basis with internal and external Company Representative on issues including job procedures, spare parts requirements, critical dimension measurements. Suggestions to improve on safety and or the operation, etc.

Understands and follow all TechnipFMC and customer safety requirements. Proactively pursues safe work practices and participates in safety meetings and training.

Reports from a project execution perspective to the Service Project Manager on a daily basis and inform him directly to support business critical decisions to be made when required on operational, customer or personnel and support a MOC.

Constantly strive for improvement of safety, knowledge, professionalism and customer success.

Who are we looking for?

  • Must be flexible in terms of working times/periods and locations/countries.
  • Strong mechanical background.
  • HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering or time served apprenticeship preferably in a mechanical discipline.
  • Offshore drilling environment experience.
  • Willing and able to travel abroad for work and or training.
  • Excellent in English language in writing and verbally.
  • Proactive attitude (responsiveness)
  • Problem solving skills with a systematic approach.
  • High level of communication and listening skills.
  • Good attitude with a high level of professionalism and accuracy

Where is the position based?

  • The position is mobilised from our TechnipFMC facility in Dyce, Scotland. Must reside proximity to mobilisation point for occasions that require prompt check-in.
  • Position is ad hoc with work activity in the UK sector and equally global locations.
