Role objectives

The role of the Regulatory Compliance function is to define and maintain the framework, policies, procedures and controls to manage regulatory risks and obligations effectively and efficiently and implement new regulatory requirement related to the scope of trading activity of GM&T.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support Head of Regulatory Compliance in defining the Regulatory Compliance framework, policies, processes and controls in the focus areas (i.e. MIFID, REMIT, EMIR, MAR, FMIA)
  • Support Head of Regulatory Compliance in assessing the impact of the new requirements on the business through performing analytical procedures
  • Support Head of Regulatory Compliance in analysing regulatory requirements of new business activities, markets or products and implement respective processes on a group basis
  • Ensure correct implementation of hedging approach for threshold calculation under EMIR, MiFID II and FIMA and perform periodic checks for involved companies
  • Perform monitoring activities defined in the compliance program
  • Perform periodic reporting to Senior Management

Experience

  • experience in compliance function in a trading organization is required
  • Knowledge of commodity trading and derivative markets
  • Understanding of product classification under MiFID II as financial instrument
  • Experience with analysis of large databases
  • Experience of working in projects with multiple stakeholders


Education

  • Degree level education in finance, economics, law, business or related discipline.
  • Masters level education preferred
