Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Commissioning Engineer ( M&P) with extensive experience in the oil and gas. The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure alignment with Wood Core Values and ensure compliance with Wood Corporate policies. This position will report directly to the Commissioning and Certification Lead / Construction Manager.

Responsibilities
    • Definition of Systems and Sub-System Limits
    • Development of project specific inspection and test records to record all inspection and testing requirements of project equipment
    • Understanding and application of third party supplied equipment commissioning procedures
    • Identification of temporary plant and equipment required for commissioning of the facility systems, and liaison with the procurement department, and suppliers of temporary equipment
  • Assist with the review of FAT requirements for new plant and equipmentLiaise with operations team in preparation to commission and handover systems/sub systems
  • Ability to Review Engineering Design Drawings And Undertake Commissioning Readiness Reviews
  • Comprehensive Working Knowledge and Experience in BP's GOC (Guidance on Certification) Completion System Data Base
  • Ensure that all commissioning activities are conducted as per BP and Wood health, safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures; project specific HSE and Quality plans; and agreed interfacing requirements with BP, Wood sub-contractors, and others as appropriate
  • Planning and execution of the project commissioning and handover to operations
  • Play leading role in implementing GOC (Guidance on Certification) , starting plan development and finishing with handover to client
  • Develop start-up commissioning plans


Skills / Qualifications
  • Preparation and issue of Project Completion Overview Scheme
  • Preparation and issue of Project Commissioning Test Procedure
  • Provide inputs to Construction Work Packs
  • Provide inputs to System Completion Dossiers
  • Inputs to Project Limits of System Handover
  • Review engineering design documents at the early stages of a project and provide commissioning input to designs
  • Work with and assure the onsite construction teams perform the GOC (Guidance on Certification) requirements for testing, documentation and handover
  • Ensure that punch lists and engineering queries are closed out prior to handover to operation
  • Comprehensive Working Knowledge and Experience of all Commissioning Activities and Procedures in Relation to The Relevant BP & Wood disciplines (Mechanical Preferable)
  • Proven Mechanical background.
  • Previous experience as a Commissioning Engineer (5 + years Minimum)
  • Must Have Both Onshore and Offshore experience (experience with BP projects preferred)
  • 5 -10 Years Oil / Gas Experience (HNC) Or Above. Relevant In Country Qualification with relevant Commissioning experience
