MHI Vestas Offshore Wind is currently looking for a new Service HSE Manager to join our HSE department in DK and DE. You will be located in either Hamburg or Esbjerg, depending on your residence.  
 
Tasks & responsibilities: You will...  
...provide strong leadership in support of our cooperate HSE strategy and lead local HSE support to the service entities. You will manage a number of on-site HSE Coordinators and provide HSE information and guidance to all levels of the organisation. Also, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and driving the regional HSE strategy in accordance with the regional business strategy as well as the corporate HSE strategy and strategic objectives. It will be your job to ensure consistency of HSE support throughout the sites.  
 
You will also be responsible for:   
  • Setting up a "fit-for-purpose" regional HSE organisation  
  • Actively manage, develop and coach the HSE Coordinators  
  • Support incident investigations  
  • Review and revise HSE documentation where required  
  • Carry out site audits  
  • Highlight adverse safety trends and ensure that adequate safety campaigns are implemented  
  • Participate in industry body meetings, seminars and training sessions to increase industry and legislative awareness  
  • Represent the company with local government organisations related to HSE in order to ensure a mutual understanding of the company's goals and requirements and to work in a cooperative partnership with local resources  
  • Act as a safety ambassador and foster the MHI Vestas safety culture   
 
Skills & experience: Our new colleague...  
...has a formal HSE qualification (equivalent to NEBOSH Diploma) and a minimum of 10 years of experience as a safety professional. You must have relevant management experience and previously managed internal and external stakeholders. To succeed on this role, you must be a good leader with the ability to motivate and inspire your team. You have a structured and systematic workstyle, and good presentation and analytical skills.  
 
We expect that you:   
  • Speak and write English fluently, and it would be an advantage if you speak German and/or Danish, too  
  • Have a full driver's license  
  • Have good communication skills  
  • Can influence others without having line authority
