Job Description

We're Equinor, an international energy company with a proud history. Formerly Statoil, we are 20,000 committed colleagues developing oil, gas, wind and solar energy in more than 30 countries worldwide. We're the largest operator in Norway, among the world's largest offshore operators, and a growing force in renewables. Driven by our Nordic urge to explore beyond the horizon, and our dedication to safety, equality and sustainability, we're building a global business on our values and the energy needs of the future.

The Global Strategy and Business Development (GSB) business area aims to bring together corporate strategy, business development and merger and acquisition (M&A) activities to actively drive the corporate development of Equinor. GSB will set strong strategic direction and identify, develop and deliver opportunities for global growth for Equinor. This will be achieved through close collaboration across geography and business areas.

Valuation (VAL) is a unit within the GSB Project Support and Execution (PSE) cluster. VAL provides resources to undertake project management and the valuation linked to all business development projects within Statoil. The GSB PSE organization primarily provides resources for the leadership and execution of Business Development (BD) projects post DGA, but also provides support to BD origination. BD projects are usually in the GSB, EXP or NES line, and involve acquisitions and divestments of assets associated with DPx, EXP, MMP and NES. In addition, PSE provide support to the GSB hosted corporate functions Corporate Sustainability Unit (CSU) and Strategy (CSA), as well as communication.

VAL is a pool of project leaders, valuation/technical/commercial leads and technical specialists (subsurface, facility and cost). The main responsibility is valuation of divestment/acquisition/license round. VAL consists of approx. 50 people and is organized in four resource pools located in Stavanger, Oslo, London and Houston. The VAL team is a mix of very experienced and younger people, who are highly skilled, engaged and want the best for Statoil.
