Overview / Responsibilities
Wood Clean Energy is now seeking to recruit an intern to join their expanding group based in Hamburg. This will initially be for 3-6 months with the potential for a permanent position depending on performance and company requirements.

  • Support the project managers of onshore and offshore wind energy projects
  • Work within an experienced team to evaluate the technical aspects of wind energy projects, including contracts, cost estimates and project programmes
  • Assess and evaluate the performance of operating wind farms and maintain a cost and failure rate data base
  • Coordination and communication with project teams in Wood clean energy's head office in Glasgow and other offices as required
  • General research and assessments on wind energy issues
  • Analysis of specific topics based on project needs including on- and offshore wind energy developments

Skills / Qualifications
Essential Criteria:
  • Studying mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a similar course
  • First-hand experience in the field of wind energies and an enthusiastic interest in these technologies
  • Very good communication skills, including report writing
  • Fully fluent in German and English language
  • Diligent and independent working manner
  • Ability to work under challenging timeframes
  • Good analytical skills and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and support other team members
  • Skilled in MS Office incl. good MS Excel skills

Desirable Criteria:
  • Chinese language skills
  • Familiarity with various digital data and image formats (.dxf, .dwg, .shp, .sid, .tif) and associated conversion processes
  • Previous internship or work experience
  • Experience with MS Project and VBA
