ENGIE are recruiting for a Fire Supervisor to be based in London, E14 5LQ. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

The normal working hours will be Sunday to Thursday, 22:00pm until 06:00am.

Reporting in to the Fire Manager, you will be responsible for a number of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) teams that are tasked with carrying out PPM and corrective works on fire detection, suppression and alarm systems.

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:
  • Ensuring that the PPM teams operate in a time/cost effective manner and that planned maintenance schedules are met
  • Providing technical back and support to the PPM teams and on shift reactive team (where necessary).
  • Ensure that tasks are carried out in a safe manner via site audits/visits.
  • Ensuring that disruption to the client's premises is kept to a minimum during PPM.
  • Maintaining good relationships with the customer.
  • Ensure that quality is monitored via site audits/visits
  • Accurate reporting to senior management/client.
  • Monitoring/control of costs associated with the task.
  • Carry out checks on all PPM documentation received from the PPM teams under your control and ensure that reporting is completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that SPCs under your control are complying with Method statements and SSOW.
  • Identifying and recommending system/service improvements and/or or variations from BS5839 pt 1 2013, BS5306 etc) during PPM/reactive visits and supplying accurate scopes of work with quotes to the client.
  • Carrying out investigations/disciplinary meetings as required

Qualifications and experience required:
  • Previous relevant experience
  • A thorough working knowledge of Fire Detection & Alarm Installations Standards (BS5839 Pt1 2013) Legislation
  • Strong IT skills (Word, Excel)
  • Good report writing skills
  • Hold a full UK Driving licence
  • Product training (Kentec, AEL, Gent, Notifier, Morley, ADT MX, Siemens, Apollo, Hochiki etc)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Strong delegation and support skills
  • Team player capable for leading and focusing team members to achieve their objectives
  • Flexible working will be required in order to meet client expectations
  • Mixture of office and site-based activity
