Our Pricing Analysts are key to the production, validation and delivery of Southern Electric Power Distribution plc (SEPD) and Scottish Hydro Electric Power Distribution plc (SHEPD) Distribution Use of System (DUoS) tariffs; along with other charges, amounting to approximately £850M per annum. Our key activities are regulated and we must comply with our Electricity Distribution Licences, Industry Codes and Ofgem/Government orders. Additionally, our Pricing Analysts also assist in the provision of DUoS tariff and revenue information to our Network Business colleagues and external parties, including the industry regulator, Ofgem. At all times, we are required to demonstrate the highest work standards, attention to detail and exemplary customer service. Agreed deadlines determine our workloads; and our outputs must be compliant with the prevailing standards. In Pricing, we strive for continuous improvement of all of our business -critical processes; and the Pricing Analysts play a vital role in that activity.
In addition to setting DUoS tariffs, our other key responsibilities include the annual preparation of the Revenue Reporting Pack - submitted to Ofgem each July; along with the maintenance of systems and processes that support the GB electricity settlements system. These include Market Domain Data (MDD) submissions and Line Loss Factor (LLF) annual calculation and audit processes.
The Pricing Team's key activities are designed to comply with either standard or special licence conditions; or industry codes (eg Distribution Connection and Use of System Agreement (DCUSA)). It is, therefore, essential that the Team follows these regulations, paying particular attention to the detail. Customer satisfaction is highly important to us, and it's crucial that every member of the Pricing Team shares our goal of delivering exemplary customer service.

In addition, an ability to understand the Regulatory framework within which Distribution Pricing operates is essential as this will allow you to quickly grasp the fundamentals of our Licence and DCUSA obligations. You should be an independent thinker, who also demonstrates an ability to take instruction and work to deadlines. This is essential; as is the ability to prioritise the designated workload.
