Business Development Manager – Solar PV – Netherlands (remote)

This company have been around since the early days of solar and grown into a true global player with operations across the globe. They develop, finance, construct and own & operate solar PV plants from residential to utility scale projects.

The Netherlands is a big market for them and they need to hire at least 2 more (they recently hired 2) Business & Project Developers. You can appreciate the potential here… joining one of the leaders in the industry at a very exciting time. They are growing rapidly, and you will be giving yourself a great opportunity to really show your capabilities; genuinely having an impact on how the business grows in the region.

You’ll be working remotely (with just a couple of days per week spent in the head office) and have a lot of autonomy to build business across the country as you choose.

Key tasks include:

  • Create, manage and materialise project development opportunities
  • Negotiating land leases with land owners
  • Manage the building permit application process with municipalities
  • Make financial analysis of opportunities
  • Managing local development partners, internal resources and 3rd parties
  • Identifying, negotiating and managing co-development agreements

You’ll be native Dutch speaker with at least a couple of years’ experience in developing projects in the Netherlands. Ideally this will be solar but it’s not essential. Previous candidates have come from the real estate industry and have hit the ground running, so as long as you are familiar with site identification, negotiating leases, permits and managing relationships with stakeholders you will be considered.

Salary will be negotiated case by case as we are looking for both junior developers and more senior. The bonus potential is worth mentioning however as for a high achiever, earning 100% of your salary is very achievable…
