Join our team as a Civil Engineering Project\nManager where you will help us ensure that civil & building works are to\ncost, time & quality and support the wider project team in the delivery of\nthe project objectives.

\n\n What part will you play?
  • Manage\nthe project / work package
  • Complete\nsupplier / subcontractor performance assessments in cooperation with\nProcurement & Quality Depts.
  • Ensure\nall potential risks, variations and opportunities are identified and reported\nto the Project Manager / Senior Project Manager / Project Director as soon as\npossible.
  • Responsible\nfor preparing Monthly Progress Reports on the assigned work packages
  • Define,\ndraft and manage the subcontract documentation in coordination with other\nfunctions and project stakeholders
  • Undertake\nand manage subcontract offer evaluations and recommendations for award
  • Liaise\nwith the civil design manager/coordinators to ensure the flow of design\ndocumentation is consistent with the programme and in line with the design\nreview process within the Engineering function/client requirements
  • Ensure\nthat relevant work documentation (RAMS, CHSP, EMP, TMP, QMP, ERP, temporary\nworks register, ITP's) are in place and approved prior to works commencing
  • Weekly\ninternal reporting about works status, programme, variations, constraints, next\nsteps, civil risks and opportunities
  • Monitor\nthe budget on monthly basis and ensure that actual costs received from\nsubcontractors will not affect the budget / risk contingencies allocated.
  • Support\nSite Manager in developing site team communication
  • Communicate\nall design issues to civil contractor's designer / internal designer\nhighlighting the timescale required and impact to delivery works
  • Review\nand approve the sub-contractor's valuation or payment based on physical works\nin conjunction with the QS's and in accordance with the contractual payment\nterms.
  • Support\nthe site manager and site safety advisor in the development of H&S culture\nat site level and in organising audits of subcontractors

  • You\nwill be a fantastic communicator and have experience of working as part of a project\ndelivery team
  • BSc\n/ BEng in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Project Management,\nNVQ5 (QCF Level 7) in Construction Project Manager/Construction Senior\nManagement, alternatively relevant experience with HNC/HND in a Building/Civil\nEngineering/Construction discipline
  • Experience\nin at least one project-related discipline (Civil Engineering, Building Construction,\netc.)
  • Strong\nunderstanding of construction methodology, construction quality issues and\nability to identify during the construction phase

\n\n Advantageous but not\nessential
  • NEBOSH\nCertificate in Construction
  • Professional\nMembership: MCIOB/ICIOB with the Chartered Institute of Building, CEng/IEng/Eng\nTech with the Institute of Civil Engineers, MRICS/AssocRICS- Construction\nPathways
  • Project\nManagement certification e.g. PRinCE2, APMP etc.
