Published: 20 Jul 2016
Until the oil slump Houston has been renowned as a major hub for the oil industry for many years. Over the last few years nearly 200 000 oil and gas jobs have been lost.
Goldman Sachs have recently carried out research into the industry and predict that oil and gas jobs are on the increase. At present energy companies are facing a difficult situation of worker shortages however Goldman Sachs believe the oil and gas industry will get back on track and generate new opportunities during 2017 and 2018.
Oil and Gas industry experts are feeling more optimistic about the industry with certain industries including the drilling industry reaching profitable levels. If the oil prices do stay up, many plan to keep expanding throughout this year.
