Power hiring managers not recognising importance of salaries
Published: 28 Mar 2017
The Global Energy Talent Index (GETI), the comprehensive and insightful power employment trends report released by Energy Jobline and Airswift investigates how much value professionals and hiring managers place on company practices. The survey revealed that while a suitable salary was considered highly attractive to 32% of professionals, only 9% of power hiring managers agreed with them.
Ford Garrard, Senior VP at Airswift says, “Hiring managers are failing to realise the importance their employees place on salary banding and this needs to be addressed.”
“As 22% of power professionals expressed interest in working in the oil and gas sector, followed by 21% showing interest in renewables, these disparities must be addressed before the industry begins losing skilled talent to other energy divisions.”
