Nuclear workers believe sector needs better training, new survey reveals
The latest edition of the Global Energy Talent Index, the world’s largest energy workforce report, reveals that upskilling and re-training will be essential to the future success of the nuclear sector.
According to the study, nuclear professionals recognise the requirement to upskill the current workforce with training and many respondents highlighted training existing employees as an ideal way to closing the skills gap.
Janette Marx, CEO at Airswift says: “In regions where talent is especially in demand, nuclear companies are recruiting former professionals out of retirement and relocating them to train up local staff.”
