Primary Job Functions:
  • Help and support to coordinate all key functions associated with the development of sales opportunities in compliance with the relevant market schemes and regulations
  • Help and support to maintain and expand our solid relationship network to transaction customers and stakeholders in the renewable energy market.
  • Help to form the perception of First Solar's advanced thin-film technology with customers and public/administrative stakeholder throughout Europe for First Solar' growing market presence.
  • Assist to maintain and develop a PV project pipeline in key markets in Europe, targeting a market share for First Solar of 10%+
  • Seeking help and support of experienced team members (BD Managers and Directors) to adopt strategies and tactics on the sales process and activities
  • Help Develop and execute the long term strategic plan for changing European power markets

  • Help and assist to manage the global relationship with First Solar's key customers headquartered in key European markets and support them building their global PV business
  • Help to coordinate with cross functional teams within First Solar to execute the business plan
  • Monitor the environment for 'quality' projects that may be acquired and folded into First Solar's power portfolio
  • Assist to drive results by leveraging strong analytical skills, including a high level of business acumen and sophistication in financial modelling to assess implications of tactical decisions
  • Clear understanding of local/regional laws and regulations and their implications on the business.
  • Respect corporate governance and compliance rules of First Solar and act transparent and in respect of FCPA ruling
  • Help to coordinate support provided by outside advisors and counsel
  • Prepare presentations for use with customers and FS senior staff
  • Answer and redirect Sales Inquiries
  • Maintain our Customer Relation Tool (Salesforce)
  • Administrative tasks as assigned

Professional and personal qualifications:

  • A degree from University or a Specialist College/University (Fachhochschule) in Engineering, additional MBA preferred
  • First experiences in fast-paced, project-oriented international business environments are favorable
  • Good command of English and German. Additional languages are favorable.
  • High degree of motivation, discipline, reliability and self-organization
  • High level of detail orientation and very good analytical skills
  • Ability to accomplish tasks timely, creatively, and independently
  • Very good communication skills
