MHI Vestas Offshore Wind is a fast-paced and growing international company, and we are rapidly becoming a significant player in the offshore wind industry. As our new Maintenance Lead you will take part in the manufacturing process at our facility in Nakskov, where we produce our record breaking 80 metre blade. You will guide, lead and motivate employees to deliver high-quality products to the business.  
Responsibilities and tasks 
You will be responsible the maintenance team covering 24 hours, 5 days per week operations. Also, you must ensure the safety of all tools and equipment used for the production. 
In addition, you can expect the following tasks:  
  • Developing and maintaining the competence levels of the maintenance staff to cover all equipment types, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, PLC controllers, and hand tools. 
  • Motivating and coaching the maintenance team to ensure a high performance output. 
  • Set-up and administration of the maintenance systems and assets register (EAM) with planned maintenance activities as well as responding to breakdowns. 
  • Set-up and administration of spare parts inventory. 
  • Maintain high safety standards and work with the HSE department to develop a culture working towards 'zero incidents' by reporting and managing risks out of the process. 
  • Keeping the work area safe and clean making use of 5S methodology. 
  • Contribute to supplier evaluations. 
Professional and personal competencies 
To succeed in this role you must have proven experience with maintenance in a manufacturing environment and a relevant educational background, e.g. mechanical, electrical, or engineering. You are familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and you speak, read and write Danish fluently and have a basic understanding of English, too. It would be an advantage if you are familiar with ISO 9001. 
As a person you have the ability to lead, drive and deliver results. You are a team player, who understands how to work in a matrix organisation. You manage and adjust your own behaviours to work effectively in light of new information, changing situations and/or different environments. It is essential to have attention to detail and to have good development and improvement skills. Lastly, your personality must reflect the drive to continuously motivate and coach your team towards agreed KPI. Lastly, as a people manager you must be able to step back and let your team deliver while you keep the overall overview.
