Are you an experienced 3D Designer / Modeller looking for a new challenge in an exciting and growing industry?

Due to increased workload and a number of projects starting at the same time, we are currently looking for an experienced 3D Designer/Modeller who has extensive experience of using Autodesk Inventor 3D & AutoCad.

Our client is an industry leading multinational company that develops large transmission and distribution projects across the UK. They provide complete engineering, procurement and construction solutions for substations both onshore and offshore. They have a modern office in Manchester made up of various different business units, all working together to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.

Duties will include:
  • 2 & 3D design using Autodesk Inventor & Autocad.
  • Producing plant layouts, sections and renders.
  • Production of 2D engineering drawings from the 3D model.
  • Producing 3D imagery.
  • Providing 3D visualisation at meeting with clients, designers, fabricators, suppliers and internal representatives.
You will need:
  • At least five years’ experience in 2D & 3D design using Autodesk inventor & Autocad.
  • Knowledge of design processes working within a multiple discipline engineering environment, and within a project and commercially focused business.
  • Conversant with the 3D standards & technologies.
  • Good standard of IT literacy – especially Word, Excel and outlook
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with 3D file, vault, management system.
We do not require you to have previous experience in Renewable Energy or Transmission and Distribution, but you must have extensive knowledge of 3D plant layout design in Autodesk Inventor. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the fastest growing industries in the UK.
