Business Developer LNG Would you like to join an organisation, which is expanding its presence within the liquefied natural gas (LNG) business, and are you a motivated and entrepreneurial business developer with a strong sales drive and have high professional standards?

Join us and become a Business Developer in the LNG department, where you will join a department with strong ambitions for the LNG business and belief that the future holds substantial promise with a range of opportunities which DONG Energy are well positioned to explore. Our LNG activities comprise long-term LNG contracts, regasification capacity, sale and purchase of LNG and trading and optimisation. The department has a solid mandate to expand the LNG business within both LNG origination and trading, but also within new areas such as small scale LNG via either LNG small-scale shipping or LNG trucking.

The LNG department is part of Distribution & Customer Solutions, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We handle the production from our wind farms and oil and gas fields to the energy exchanges and customers in Northern Europe, and we distribute electricity and natural gas to businesses and private customers in Denmark.

You will be based at our office in Virum in the Greater Copenhagen area. You should expect frequent travelling both within and outside of Europe in the range of 40-60 days per annum.

Your key tasks will be to
  • drive the sale and purchase of LNG on a structured basis
  • develop new market approaches and deal concepts directly with customers
  • manage a number of projects with one or more key accounts and end-to-end responsibility, including external and internal stakeholder management
  • identify business opportunities, including origination possibilities, based on the LNG strategy and DONG Energy's portfolio
  • maximise the value extractable from transactions entered into by Dong Energy
  • participate in the commercial development of our business, eg through development of tailor-made trading concepts
  • represent Dong Energy's core values in the best possible way.

Your qualifications and core competences include that you
  • have a master's degree in economics, business or finance
  • have experience from LNG, the energy industry, shipping or project sales
  • have a proven ability to drive sales processes and win customers over
  • have excellent communication and negotiation skills with a record of accomplishment to match it
  • have the ability to develop business and project plans
  • have substantial personal capacity to handle short deadlines without compromising on quality.

Moreover, you are able to work independently as well as part of a team, and you have substantial personal drive and result orientation. You are comfortable working in an entrepreneurial atmosphere and are self-confident with a 'can do' attitude and strong ambitions to develop professionally.

We offer
A unique and challenging job in a department where our partners and customers are from oil and gas, shipping or industrial corporations operating in the world-wide energy market and our customers rely on our ability to trade and transport LNG effectively. On this basis, you will be challenged in an international and result-oriented environment.

In DONG Energy Distribution & Customer Solutions, we have a high level of expertise and many complex and challenging work tasks. We work dedicated every day to create value for both our customers and DONG Energy. We offer an exciting and informal workplace, where the individual employee's value creation and results is the focal point.
