About the opportunity

Our Built Environment group in NSW are currently working on some of the largest projects in the state, for our key Defence, Health, Social and Transport Infrastructure clients. To support these projects as well as the ongoing growth and development of our business, we are seeking a high potential Mechanical Engineer to join the team. We are looking for someone who is technically strong, client facing, ideally with a strong track record in one or more of our key sectors. Reporting to the Building Services Section Leader, the role of Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for technical and delivery aspects of the projects on which we work. This role will:

  • Undertake technical project work from initial concept and business case, through the design and construction phases
  • Lead the delivery of Mechanical Building Services projects, ensuring all technical outputs are delivered in a professional manner
  • Work closely with team members, including mentoring, guidance and quality reviews for other engineers
  • Work closely with our peers both within and outside of the organisation
  • Engage in nurturing client relationships, delivery excellence and repeat work winning.


About you

  • A Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent is required
  • Proven work history within the Building Services sector
  • Engineering consultancy/professional services experience is an advantage
  • Technical project leadership in the mechanical discipline will be essential
  • Chartered Professional Engineer and/or Industry memberships (e.g. CIBSE, AIRAH, IEAust) is preferable.
