ROLE SYNOPSIS

Under general supervision the Chemical Technician conducts routine chemical and physical analyses by running tests required for program monitoring or QC of processes or procedures. They may be assigned to moderately complex assignments, work independently at times or within a team to complete projects. Responsible for tracking inventories and chemical usages, then entering the information into a reporting format. Will work closely with client operations personnel to meet program goals. Will be responsible for working with a team to schedule coverage of activities that occur 24/7 and meet the goal with safety in mind.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Work with operations to run and maintain programs
  • Monitor product quality to ensure compliance to standards and specifications.
  • Perform Additive Injections checks
  • Work with pumps, generators, hoses, and fittings
  • Transport chemicals
  • Work with internal and external customers
  • Water & Oil lab testing
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma with 5 years' experience OR Associates Degree with 3 years' experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 2 years' experience
  • Chemical treatment experience
  • Must be TWIC card eligible
  • Ability to lift over 40 lbs (pumps, hoses, etc.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous experience with field testing samples
  • Refinery Experience
OTHER DETAILS
  • Must be able to successfully pass US Coast Guard Drug & Alcohol Testing Regulations
  • Flexible 24/7 on call working hours.
