Job Overview:

The Site Material Manager has direct responsibility for all material management at the site for the project. The Sr. Site Materials Manager reports functionally to the Construction Manager/Director and operationally to the Project Material Manager/Director. The main responsibility is the direct planning and supervision of the Materials Management process, crews, compliance with Project safety and CMS Materials Management Processes, Procedures and Work Instructions in regard to the Project.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Collaborate planning with the Construction Manager/Director in regards to the overall construction plan with the outcome being able to forecast availability of materials against construction Work Pack planning.
  • Personnel planning to ensure all Site Material positions are filled and operating with regard to the project schedule.
  • Managing and supervision of the all Site Material Management staff.
  • Receiving
  • Reporting of Over, Short and Damages (OS&Ds)
  • Organization and Maintenance of Warehouse, Stores & Laydown Yard for storage of materials
  • Inventory Control
  • Proper storage and preservation of materials
  • Forecasting available materials to Construction Management for work front planning
  • Coordination with Construction Managers and Superintendents for arrival of materials and construction needs.
  • Issuing of materials using CB&I Materials Management System (MMS)
  • Performing all assigned preservation activities
  • Ensuring that preservation logs and labels are in place
  • Ownership of all field generated Materials Management reports
  • Ensuring that the site is properly staffed to perform all Materials Management duties per CB&I CMS policy.
Basic Qualifications:
  • College Diploma or Equivalent desired
  • Experience in Material Management within Oil & Gas industry preferred 10 - 15 years
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
