Lead the commercial activities for the offshore Services sales team with deal strategy, technical expertise, pricing recommendations, offers /terms, and customer negotiations for technical products such as Upgrades (C&MU's), Capital Components, Repair, Frame agreements, Operation & Maintenance, and other contracts including integration with Digital products.

Essential Responsibilities


  • Lead Wind Services Upgrade (C&MU) offerings & contractual offers creation supporting Sales, Field Operations and Commercial Leader teams to define technical customer solutions
  • Interface with Engineering, Platform, Digital team and other support functions to help commercialize technical offerings in terms of cost, risk and configuration
  • Matrix leadership of technical proposal elements, especially supporting Engineered CM&U proposals, integration of products with Digital platform & tenders for Capital Components Repair
  • Issue Multi-Vendor (for non GE OEM turbines) complex offerings of GE products
  • Perform site level production/value analysis of technical offerings to quantify and prioritize offerings
  • Own the analysis & response for technical customer inquiries, to determine proposal requirements, scope of supply, and winning bid strategies
  • Lead with Sales order closing by e.g. providing technical expertise & timely response to customers, customer negotiations
  • Make recommendations for new technical offerings including value packaging, Digital products, define customer solutions
  • Support the technical OTR Handoff/Transition and Customer kickoff meetings as necessary
  • Additional responsibilities include technical strategy development, technical and commercial risk management, technical issues resolutions, proposal tools development & deployment, Growth initiatives, Lean and simplification Initiatives, etc. as requested by Manager
  • Measurements include customer feedback, pole orders /commitments, proposal quality & timeliness variance to want, Hit or Win rate, lessons learned capture, cost of Quality reduction, Imagination / growth contributions, GE values, personal learning and development progress
  • Ensure optimal levels of coordination and partnership within the Onshore Wind commercial teams on go to market strategies, commercial tradeoffs, and strategic directions

    Qualifications/Requirements


    • Engineering or Technical degree with Power Industry experience, Computer Science, or equivalent
    • Wind Engineering / Product line or other equivalent technical experience
    • Strong proven commercial skills
    • Proven experience in supporting face to face meeting with customers
    • Must be able to travel in support of customer meetings across Europe
    • Basic knowledge of legal regulations & applying standard codes
    • Knowledge of tendering processes driven by big utilities in Europe
    • English
    • EU Work Permit
    Non-national candidates are responsible to know the minimum documentation requirements to be able to be contracted in country: NIE- Social Security Affiliation Number in Spain (NAF) and Bank Account in Spain.
