Role description The Digital Scrum Master will lead Agile Scrum Teams of multi-disciplined functional and Business experts to deliver high quality Digital capability. With extensive experience in Scrum and Agile methodologies, the Scrum Master will guide their Scrum Teams utilising best practice and the latest Agile techniques. Implementing continued assessment and monitoring of their team Scrum maturity to drive increased levels at a sustainable pace.

They will be accountable for removing blockers and impediments to achieve maximum sprint efficiency, whilst delivering the highest quality Digital deliverables. Working with the Project Managers, Product Owners, Agile Coach and their Scrum Team.

They will be leading a Scrum Team consisting of experts in Digital Design, UI, UX, Development, Testing, Business Analysis and SAP. With the technical ability to deliver across functional and business areas including Domestic, B2B, Mobile, Energy Services, Smart, Technical and Platform.

Examples of complexity will include:

Accountable for the velocity, quality and output of their scrum team

Accountable for the Scrum maturity and agile discipline of their scrum team

Engagement with stakeholders across the business to manage scrum team blockers and issues in areas including Technical, Process, Resource and Organisation.

Skills and experience Experience in relation to influencing, managing and aligning stakeholder expectations

The role requires strong team management skills

Proven track record in Agile delivery across comparable organisations

Possess a strong understanding of agile methodologies and best practice

Strong technical skills in a range of Agile methodologies including DAD and SAFe

Display gravitas and credibility in a complex environment and must be able to effectively manage a multi-disciplined team

Strong understanding of Agile ceremonies and best practice

Proven ability in conducting, facilitating and managing Agile ceremonies

Proven track record in building and sustaining productive relationships with business stakeholders

Ability to work to demanding targets and deadlines while maintaining a high degree of personal and team organisation and focus

Agile and Scrum experience

Digital, Project and Delivery experience

Agile Scrum Master Certified

Proven success in managing and developing multi-disciplined technical teams including demonstrable people skills

Degree or equivalent qualification

Principal Accountabilities: Accountable for enabling the team to deliver the Product Owners prioritised user stories on time and to a high quality in line with the Digital governance model and quality standards

Accountable for facilitating team dynamic to improve the Scrum Teams velocity and overall performance

Lead continuous improvement activities within the scrum team to drive performance improvements

Utilising and sharing extensive knowledge, experience and industry best practices in agile delivery

Provide scrum team data, forecasts and updates to inform project and planning initiatives

Complete high quality sprint planning to ensure maximum velocity and quality deliverables with full resource utilisation

Facilitate and lead daily stand ups with the scrum team to resolve blockers, drive performance and enable team collaboration

Establish a strong business network across multiple functional areas to enable rapid and effective issue resolution for the scrum team

Ensure all stakeholders are regularly updated and engaged with sprint progress and project status

Facilitate regular show and tells with business stakeholders. Including product demonstrations and sprint reporting

Complies with all confidentiality and non-disclosure policies and/or agreements and ensures security of information at all times
