The Role: 
As Project Manager, you will be supporting the management and coordination of area teams, head of bill powers and preparation, head of land access and referencing and the value management lead. You will be accountable to the Area Manager for specific deliverables within the scope described below as well as the integration and timely delivery of the interdependencies across the overall programme.
 

Key Responsibilities: 
The Project Manager actively promotes and embeds Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI. You will support the Area Manager in accountability for the following elements of the overall programme:
- Civil design
- Mass haul
- Transport modelling
- Traffic surveys
- Land referencing
- Environmental surveys
- Environmental impact assessments
- Hybrid Bill plans & sections
- Schedule data for inclusion in the hybrid Bill
- Cost data for inclusion in the estimate of expenses
- Engagement with Local Authorities, directly affected individuals and communities within the area boundaries.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
• Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a relevant environmental/ built environmental discipline
• Educated to Master's degree level in a relevant subject is desirable but not essential
• Programme management qualifications and experience of application in a major project
• Chartered membership of a relevant environmental / built environmental organisation is desirable
• Significant experience of project managing environmental assessment (EIA) on large or complex infrastructure/ engineering projects
• Experience in financial management of projects, including procurement processes
• Experience in managing project risk registers
• Proven ability managing individuals, consultants and working across multidisciplinary teams
• Strong numeracy, written and verbal communication skills and the aptitude to rationally explain, explore and discuss environmental issues to a range of stakeholders
• Strong IT skills and a good understanding of GIS, SharePoint and eB is also desirable
• Experience of preparing / reviewing material for and attending public consultations
• Experience of public inquiries (or similar) is desirable
• Experience of working under extremely tight deadlines and in a constantly changing project environment
