Basic Function:
A key member of the maintenance team working closely with and reporting to the TRS Maintenance Supervisor.  Assist by repairing Weatherford assets while complying with Weatherford and Client company policies, procedures, systems and statutory regulations and using sound industry practices.
Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
 
  • Ensure Weatherford's Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental fully implemented and sustained
across all areas of responsibility.
 KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out repair and maintenance operations on equipment in accordance with OEM specifications and Company work instructions.
Maintain clear and concise records of all maintenance undertaken.
Perform maintenance functions in an efficient and cost effective manner.
Ensure QA systems are applied and implemented and any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfill these.
Travel to rig site onshore and offshore as and when required assisting with rig surveys
Active participation in workshop safety & toolbox meetings
Active participation and contribution to workshop specific safety initiatives
Report all hazards and unsafe acts
Ensure third party compliance
Preparation of Pre-Load Out equipment checks for operations and ensure fit for purpose
Use and complete Weatherford Maintenance Supporting Documentation as per company requirements 
Participate in the review and improvements of Supporting QA/QC Documentation for Weatherford TRS Handling Equipment, Power Equipment and Electronic Control Systems for both Software and Hardware
Maintain good standard of housekeeping practices in workshop and yard
Repair and maintenance of Tubular Running Services Equipment as per manufactures requirements and under the control of Weatherford Maintenance Procedures.
Function checks of Casing and Tubing Running Equipment with specified Work Instructions
Continually perform housekeeping and maintenance duties in a safe manner as directed by your supervisor.
Responsible for the upkeep of own training and competency portfolio
Responsible for complying with Weatherford and Clients HSE policies whilst ensuring co-workers carry out work in safe manner.
Prepare assets and equipment as per Pre Dispatch Documentation
Perform service and maintenance, under supervision on mechanical and hydraulic components of mechanical handling tools, including power tongs, power units and other basic hydraulic mechanical handling equipment
Assist with the Sub Product Lines of RSS as required
Identify RSS Assets and Equipment
Perform service and maintenance, on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components of Rig Mechanized Equipment
Function testing of Rig Mechanization Services
Perform repairs to electronic components and software functions of Torque Turn Monitoring / PLC Control Systems (JAM / RSS Specialist)
Demonstrate the operations and functions of Rig Systems Solutions and Horizontal Tubular Make Up Machines
Comply with JAM Graph Storage and Maintenance
To operate Forklift (Only after approved Company Training)
All other delegated tasks as assigned by the Manager

  • Not to removal or install barriers and machine guards whilst the machine is running and the machine shall not be operated unless being reinstalled in its place, and allowed by the maintenance Dep. representative.
  • Not entre an area if not authorized to do so, and where machinery is operating unless dressed in clothing and PPE suitable to the nature of work and in compliance with the orders specified by the plant for safety of employees.

Skills Required:
Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of Hydraulic and mechanical systems
Proven experience / exposure in Fluid Power, Fluid Flow and Fluid Diagrams
Proven experience / exposure in Repairs to Electronic Control Systems and Electronic Hardware
Experience / exposure in Electronic Software and Software Upgrades
Ability to logically trouble shoot issues 
Good written and oral communication in English 
Exposure to Computer Services and Functions (Web Based Software and Micro Soft Office)
Fast learner, results oriented and independent with strong interpersonal skills
Possess strong customer service skills, i.e. listening, follow-through, willingness to help
Ability to adapt positively to changes in policies, procedures, priorities or work environments
Ability to work within process, procedures and checklists
Good presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assist in  resolving complex issues
Required Experience:
Experience of working within a maintenance engineering environment.
Diesel mechanic experience.
Plant maintenance experience.
Hydraulic experience.
Pneumatics experience.
Experience working with Tubular running equipment including mechanized packages.
 
Offshore and onshore rig experience.
Previous employment in an International position.
