Petrofac is recruiting an Electrical Technician

Since the mid 1990’s, Petrofac has provided Operations Support services to CNR’s Ninian, Murchison and Tiffany fixed installations in the UK Continental Shelf.

The Role:

We require an Electrical Technician to work offshore on one of our CNR Assets. Working on a 3/3 rota, flying via Scatsta, the holder of the role will perform planned maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, inspections, repairs and overhauls on the installation’s electrical plant, equipment and systems.

Further duties include:
  • maintaining the proper condition of tools, test equipment and workshop equipment
  • properly documenting and accurately reporting all maintenance, repairs, overhauls, adjustments and inspections
  • training apprentices/trainees
  • undertaking training as offered by the company to expand competency
  • assisting in the integrity of the installation Permit to Work system from an Electrical perspective
  • ensures that all activities comply with applicable Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, and that personnel and the environment are not subjected to situations of unacceptable risk
  • adhering to relevant systems and procedures and contributing to their review and improvement
  • complying with the standard in place at the facility or area or to which they have been assigned
  • assisting in the management of any emergency situation, which may arise offshore in accordance with Company Emergency Response Procedures and performing nominated tasks in the Emergency Response team
The successful candidate will hold a relevant formal trade qualification and have previous experience in a similar offshore role. They will have valid offshore certificates including CompEx and knowledge of the ISSOW Permit to Work system Maximo experience would be highly beneficial.
