About the Role
Reporting to the Automotive Aftermarket Sales Manager, this role will be pivotal in developing new business opportunities whilst managing existing customers to maximize the profitability of our Lubricants division. This is a particularly busy and varied role, where good internal and customer relationships are necessary to support the management of the conflicting balance between TOTAL's profitability needs and those in particular of the Motor Factor Groups and other core customers.

There are two positions available, one covering the North and one covering the South of the UK.
  • To optimize profitability from each customer by managing individual customers/groups
  • To Identify National account opportunities
  • To negotiate and re-negotiate prior to expiry, formal contracts with new and existing Motor factors including the negotiation of acceptable product debt security.
  • Negotiate of annual contract volumes with the contracted accounts as well as agreeing an Annual Marketing plan.
  • To ensure that payments are received to agreed terms.
  • To have a clear understanding of the supply positions in their particular area and to establish contacts with all potential accounts having first given due consideration to their credit worthiness.
  • To understand in detail the supply economics for our products by method of delivery, including the cost of credit and working capital.
  • To ensure the companies HSEQ policies are enforced at all times.
  • Promotions to be linked to Hospitality / Valued added or Special Offer pricing.
  • Provide product ranges / stocking / new product introductions support to members


Profile sought
About the Successful Applicant
We are looking for an exceptionally motivated self starter, with a minimum of 3 years experience in B2B sales, with an understanding of the Automotive Aftermarket sector. You will have an excellent record of account management and of meeting targets supporting new business gains, managing an assigned territory and building strong work relationships. If you are a highly motivated, appropriately skilled, commercially aware individual who is able to plan and prioritize , we are very interested in hearing from you.

  • 3 years minimum commercial experience
  • Professional representation of the company at all levels of the Organisations.
  • Proven track record of preparation/delivery and implementation of contracts is essential.
  • Strong project management, negotiation & IT skills
  • Knowledge of the Automotive Aftermarket/products is desirable.
  • Highly motivated and results-driven
  • Clean driving license.
  • Excellent record keeping/data management.
  • Strong customer presentation proficiency.
