The Platform Support Engineer - Unifier will follow technical standards and best practices in managing Unifier infrastructure to build and maintain a secure, high available platform on Primavera Unifier.

Essential Responsibilities

As part of CoE Primavera project team, you will serve as technical expert for Unifier and lnstanstis environments.
In project phase, you collaborate with infra teams (network, database) to set up development environments and perform installation and configuration of all instances in DEV, QA and PROD. In maintenance phase, you collaborate with support team to solve maintenance issues and ensure the availability of applications.

You are the primary technical contact for vendor team for product maintenance and upgrade.The successful candidate has the opportunity to learn broadly while implementing best practices, improving existing CoE processes, identify new solution design, define standards and drive simplification opportunities.
  • Work with the different IT organizations across GE for projects implementation
  • Work closely with the COE PM's to execute installation and configuration as per COE and GE IT standards
  • Collaborate with support team and ensure efficient knowledge transfer to support team for production release
  • Proactively monitor applications environments to anticipate/remove dysfunction
  • Seek simplification opportunities and spread best practices
  • Maintain industry knowledge related to technology trends
  • Actively participate /learn new Primavera components, emerging technologies and enabling tools including Mobile. Seek innovative opportunities.




Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering or STEM major or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in supporting packaged applications.
  • Significant hands-on experience in administering WebLogic Application Server with installation, support, analysis of logs and performance tuning.
  • Capability to work on multiple small projects in a highly dynamic environment
  • Significant development experience in web, mobile or database technologies
  • Strong understanding of networking and security concepts.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, WebLogic, Oracle.
  • Understanding of network standards, such as DHCP, DNS, SSL, TCP, UDP, IP, QOS and ICMP.
  • Understanding of network hardware, including switches, routers, access points and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Cloud (IaaS or PaaS), AWS is a plus.
