Role description Working at the heart of Smart the team is responsible for longer term strategic smart deployment planning, including external regulatory submissions to BEIS & OFGEM alongside assessing long-term deployment risks and opportunities and working with stakeholder groups across the wider businesses to develop and assess smart deployment scenarios.

In this role you have ownership of your work, the role is what you make of it and there is no limit to what you can get involved in. Networking across our Smart programme and Metering business will give you exposure to a higher level of working which is great for your development and raising your own profile. Building your stakeholder pool you will be involved with the Smart Programme, Regulation, Commercial Change, Operational and Finance teams on a regular basis including the wider deployment department to configure and manage scenario modelling options, harnessing the capability of our deployment optimization tool.

Through effective stakeholder management and a collaborative approach to working, you will

define and develop npowers smart deployment strategy, through analysis, reviewing options and ongoing assessment of business objectives/drivers/constraints, risks and opportunities and regulatory obligations, you will produce and manage smart deployment plans aligned to various planning channels to assist the Leadership team in the decision making process.

The environment is dynamic and fast paced; no day is ever the same with an ever changing landscape

Skills and experience 3-5 years of financial awareness with experience of business planning and long term strategic forecasting

Understanding of Financial modelling

Excellent stakeholder management skills

Experience of being a key influencer in decision making

Ability to identify risks and opportunities in a business with the ability to translate detailed information into high level summaries
